Created in 1938 and state-approved in 1976, The Fédération Française des Diabétiques (Association Française des Diabétiques until 2013) is a patients' association, led by patients to the benefit of patients, which accompanies, defends and informs people suffering from diabetes and those around them.It is a Federation with a national headquarters and a network of local associations spread over the national territory (metropolitan France and overseas departments). It brings together 93 associations. The Fédération Française des Diabétiques is a member of the International Diabetes Federation.Since 2012, the Fédération Française des Diabétiques organizes an annual national week diabetes prevention, early June.
