Fun Bot Lab is an innovative STEAM creator space located at St Luke School in Mclean VA. The Lab includes 3d printers, a fully stocked iPad cart and of course, lot and lots of LEGO robotics. Fun Bot Lab was founded by Timothy Burns in 2010 at Sidwell Friends Summer Camp and moved to McLean two years later. For 7 years, Fun Bot Lab operated as the greater Washington DC area's most popular LEGO robotics & media camp with thousands and thousands of happy campers coming through the program. During this time, Timothy Burns was an active member of the LEGO Education Advisory Committee and was flown out with other influential teachers to Denmark to meet with LEGO executives to advise them on product design, curriculum and school outreach. On March 31st 2021, Fun Bot Lab converted from a privately held company to an organization using its brand and equipment to help nonprofit schools and community organizations teach vital STEAM skills to kids in grades K-8.
