Bwenzi.org is a progressive nonprofit organization that works to empower student leaders to make a sustainable difference for better health and education globally. Our current program focuses on fighting against malaria alongside the people of Malawi to eradicate malaria from their country. Since 2012, we've provided thousands of mothers and children protection against the disease. The form of protection we use are long-lasting insecticide treated mosquito nets. We pride on the fact that the nets we distribute last at least 5 years and have proven to be incredibly user friendly (we also work with local manufacturers in the country!). In Malawi, where there is 1 doctor to 50,000 people, the malaria incident is 24,705 per 50,000 people. In the world, the disease affects over 1 million people and takes the life every 30 seconds. Malaria cripples a country because it targets children and mothers. We know that students have the potential to create incredible social movements and rise to leaders in their communities. Our mission is to support them as they embark on this journey for a better world. Learn more at bwenzi.org
