Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy is a private physiotherapy business based at the Mater Private Hospital in South Brisbane. We service in-patients in the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane, Mater Centre for Neurosciences, Mater Private Hospital Springfield and Brisbane Private Hospitals, as well as outpatients in our on-site rooms at the Mater Medical Centre and our practices at Annerley, Chermside, Hope Island and Brookwater. We have a team of over fifty physiotherapists who practice in the areas of medical, surgical, cardiac, neurology, haematology/oncology, ICU, gerontology, vestibular, children's continence, men's and women's health, orthopaedics, headaches, musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. Physiotherapists within the team also provide services in extended scope areas of practice, including clinics in collaboration with some of Brisbane's top Medical Specialists. Active continues to provide full-time clinical education for final year physiotherapy students, in association with the University of Queensland. Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy has achieved accreditation from Quality in Practice Pty. Ltd. (QIP) in recognition that they have met standards set by the Australia Physiotherapy Association. At Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy we have made a serious commitment to excellence in physiotherapy. We have an ‘Active Approach' to patient management that sets us apart and enhances positive outcomes for our patients. This approach incorporates tailored, progressive exercise programs, designed to help each individual achieve their sporting, work and life physical performance goals. To promote this, our practices incorporate well equipped gymnasiums in our treatment areas – making us different to many physiotherapy practices.
