Eireann Technology.com! is a technology company focused on the research and use of technology, in particular mobile, cloud, and data grid technologies, for higher education. We look to build solutions for student engagement and retention based on current best practice and cutting edge techniques in Education. This grounding in the pedagogy of Higher Education is intended to be a foundation of all use of technology developed by us. This way the focus is always on delivering solutions with a solid foundation that are more sustainable. In addition these solutions, while containing interdisciplinary aspects, tend to be focused at specific disciplines providing better more focused results. Technology undoubtedly has much to offer Higher Education in terms of improved learning and teaching experiences, in the reach that Higher Education provides have, and in improving the overall quality of the education provided, however without a solid grounding in the relevant pedagogy it will be difficult for technology to fully realise these potential benefits.
