Standard Biocarbon (SBC) is a new, innovative, scalable technology that tackles multiple environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. As a producer of biochar, SBC will use advanced technology to produce a stable, porous material that is near pure carbon for large scale production and multiple uses. Situated in East Millinocket Maine, on the site of the shuttered 19th century paper mill, SBC will be proximate to the 17 million acres of working forests and the Golden Road infrastructure to help revitalize the region as part of a high growth, scalable solution that also addresses climate change. SBC's vision is to scale to the mill's former processing capacity, sequestering 100,000 tons of carbon per year.
