Human Habitats design places where people want to live; a design philosophy driven by a passion for urbanism, following the best of precedents set by our most loved villages, towns and cities. Human Habitats has set itself to be a design studio specialising in designing places of timeless quality that focus on creating valuable urban places. Our project design approach is based on quality urban design principles; principles which support the pedestrian, public transport, increased housing choice across a range of densities, provide for a mix of uses and respond to the natural features of a site. These principles of urbanism can be applied to projects at the full range of scales from a single building to an entire community. Converting urban design principles at structure plan to master plan level, and then to detailed design plans for delivery, is a key measure of the success that Human Habitats judges itself by.
