Our membership policy helps to protect the brands our clients have worked hard to build, as our shoppers are educated about how and why surpluses exist. This model has developed over the last 40 years, winning The Grocer Gold Award for Best Business Initiative in 2013, being shortlisted for the BBC Radio 4 Food and Farming Awards and winning the Food and Drink Federation Awards in 2014. In 2015 Company Shop was awarded the covetable Queens Award for Enterprise, in the category of Sustainable Development and was named as one of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain by the London Stock Exchange Group. Company Shop provides a financial return to the suppliers of surplus goods, rather than incurring a cost, as is often the case with diversion to anaerobic digestion or landfill. We work closely with clients to utilise our efficient logistics and experienced team to move food quickly, sell it within date and prevent it becoming waste.
