Toren (28) and Jakob (36) were inspired to become rule-breaking filmmakers and TV writers from a young age. Toren studied English at university and Jakob studied design in college, while working together to apply the best principles of both schools to a common goal, storytelling.Jakob and Toren made their debut on a little-known forum of screenwriters called Talentville, where their animated pilot about a young girl befriending a magical cat won Script of the Month. Their next appearance in competitive screenwriting was as finalists in Screencraft's Pilot Season for their script "Who I am," about a suspected serial killer with a supernatural secret.Determined to go further with their craft, Toren and Jakob pursued professions that would serve to deepen their understanding of story and business.Toren wrote screenplays while studying finance and business at tech start-ups in Silicon Valley, eventually leaving to build his own successful digital marketing enterprise.Jakob pursued additional experience as a script reader at Eclectic Pictures, and as production assistant on several indie movies including Pop Punk Zombies. He later became a premier art director at esteemed agencies, such as The Refinery Creative and Stun Creative. Jakob now has 15 years of experience.Jakob specializes in brand development with clients such as HBO, AMC, Hulu, and Warner Brothers. He has worked as a key artist and concept designer on projects such as: Batman VS Superman, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Preacher, Better Call Saul, Shut Eye, Dead Of Summer, Difficult People, and The Walking Dead.Recently, The Burgos Brothers were recognized by executives at Roadmap Writers The Burgos Brothers were subsequently signed by the premier talent management company, Circle of Confusion.
