That was the year Scotty's great-grand father, Adam Miller started what would eventually become the Miller-Templeton-Scott Insurance Agency. In 1963, Scotty's father, Donald W. Scott, joined the agency and would later become President of the successor agency Sycamore Agency, Inc. in 1970.
