Hope Haven of East Texas started as a dream of volunteers who visited girls in an emergency shelter in Tyler, Texas. They discovered that there were no long-term placement options for teenage girls in our immediate area. Hope Haven of East Texas is a 6,472 sq. ft. home located in Lindale, Texas, on 7 acres that provides a multitude of services to adolescent girls who are in the Texas Foster Care System. Hope Haven has 16 beds and accepts girls from across the state.Tapkard Inc. was formed in 2012. In September 2017, construction and furnishing of the home were completed 100% debt free. We obtained our license to operate from the State of Texas, secured our contract in April of 2018 and began accepting girls on May 15, 2018.
