Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community is a non-profit corporation, providing independent living, assisted care and skilled nursing. TLRC relies on the generous donations of residents, family members, staff, and the community to provide quality care for residents. The Foundation was established to create fundraising events and ongoing donation programs that provide for enhanced living in the community and ongoing support for those residents who outlive their financial means. Donations to TLRC qualify for charitable tax deductions and can be designated toward any of the following funds: LIFE ENRICHMENT FUND - Supporting daily activities, day trips and pet therapy RESIDENT CARE FUND - Ensuring all residents remain at TLRC if financial means are no longer available CAPITAL PROJECTS - Annual projects selected to have an immediate positive impact on the residents EMERSON WELLNESS & CLARK AQUATIC CENTER - Supporting exercise classes, equipment purchases and ongoing maintenance CHAPLAINCY ENDOWMENT FUND - Providing spiritual support for all denominations EMPLOYEE SCHOLARSHIP FUND - Allows TLRC employees to apply for scholarships to further their education and enhance their professional skills The TLRC Foundation is passionate about providing quality of life to the elderly community. Operations are supported by three full--time employees and a volunteer Board of Trustees.
