OR-6 is a limited liability company located in Massachusetts. Based on Six-Sigma concepts, OR-6 sought to become a platform for creating and developing easily adopted solutions to complex problems in patient safety. As a practicing anesthesiologist I have watched as increasing production pressures and decreasing revenues often cause my colleagues to compromise care and create fast "workarounds" that ultimately endanger our patients. After hearing about, and witnessing myself, several wrong-site surgeries in the operating room, my wife, Tracy, and I created OR-6 to end wrong-site errors and improve patient safety. By addressing safety issues from the perspectives of both the healthcare provider and the patient, we create simple, workable, and easily-adopted solutions for the healthcare environment. We are committed to saving patient's lives and preventing unnecessary injury by bringing solutions to the point of care, and making "Never Events" truly never events.
