Welcome to the only Nixa in the world!Nixa is known as the master bedroom community and premier suburb of Springfield Missouri in the southwest corner of the state. Nixa is progressive, fast-growing, and punching above our weight.The City of Nixa is a home-rule municipal government including Police, Parks & Recreation, Planning & Development, and Public Works departments. The city operates a public-owned utility made up of the electric, water, and wastewater departments. Public Works also houses the street and recycling departments, as well as an internal vehicle maintenance shop. Our departments also encompass utility billing, building inspections, code enforcement, animal control, finance, municipal court, human resources, communications, and office of the city clerk. We are a growing agency with over 120 full time employees.
