The City of Homestead is the second oldest city in Miami-Dade County and celebrated its Centennial in 2013. Homestead lies near the southern-most tip of Florida, where sunny days are in the majority and the average temperature is 75 degrees. Thirty miles north is Miami, "Gateway to the Americas,"​ and one of the country's exciting international cities.
