Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is an American fraternal organization founded on January 5, 1911 in Bloomington, Indiana at Indiana University by 10 college men. Originally founded under the name Kappa Alpha Nu, the fraternity was incorporated on May 15, 1911. Since its inception, the organization has placed an emphasis on Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor. The Fraternity has grown to amass over 160,000 predominantly African-American college educated men.
