Grand Island Tourism is a the destination marketing organization for Grand Island and Hall County in central Nebraska. Grand Island is home to the Nebraska State Fair and the annual Spring Migration of the Sandhill Cranes. Other organizations important to local tourism include the Heartland Public Shooting Park – one of the finest and most complete shooting ranges in the United States – and Fonner Park. Fonner Park features live thoroughbred horse racing every February through May, and is also home to the Nebraska State Fair and Heartland Events Center. The state fair buildings, comprised of nearly 500,000 square feet under roof, and events center play host to many local, regional, and national events throughout the year when the fair isn't utilizing them.
