On the Yahara was born out of the need for a flexible writing center in the Madison area for those who wanted to pursue self-care and self-improvement through writing. On the Yahara's goal is two-fold: to become a resource for organizations that are looking to improve their blog and web presence through mindful, professional writing in the topics of nature, food, and sustainability; to assist individuals who are looking to expand their writing skills by offering traveling workshops, outdoor classrooms, and online classes. On the Yahara is different from other writing centers in that it is fluid, mobile, and able to mold to the needs of its customers and students.
