The Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation is an all volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green to raise the funds needed to translate her cancer treatments from the laboratory into humans. Dr. Green is a multi-disciplinary physicist who specializes in targeted cancer therapeutics, using laser-activated nanoparticles and immunotherapies to develop biomarker-specific platforms to target, image, and treat malignant tumors. Her expertise lies at the intersection of immunotherapy and precision medicine.Dr. Green developed several cancer treatment platforms that have not shown side effects in mice, a preliminary study to humans. One treatment completely eliminates tumors in mice over 15 days after a single 10-minute treatment. Another treatment involves cutting edge technology to target, image, and treat cancer.Within 3-5 years, we plan to demonstrate that Dr. Green's photo-nano-therapy is a multi-cancer treatment for a variety of tumors types including breast, colorectal, ovarian, skin, cervical, pancreatic, bladder, lung, brain, anal, prostate, head and neck cancers.
