The GPF Foundation was established through an outpouring of love by close friends and the Friedman family in honor of Gregory Paul Friedman. Although millions of young adults have used MDMA or ecstasy, many don't realize that they may be ingesting other substances such as methamphetamine or cocaine. They are also unaware of its potential side effects such as panic attack, depression, suicidal ideation, and dehydration. Meanwhile, medical providers often do not have the information and tools they need to effectively treat people experiencing these MDMA-related conditions. GPFF makes a difference by supporting education, appropriate treatment and overall awareness of the dangers related to recreational drugs, particularly MDMA or ecstasy.
