Umberto Palermo, emerging today as the new face of Italian design and "carrozzeria italiana" coach building, has devoted himself to the evolution of concept, design and engineering. In 2010 founded UP Design, located in the town of Moncalieri nearby Turin, with the aim of contributing to the development of automotive, product and industrial design. In 2014 "Officine Umbero Palermo" opened in Rivoli, a complete workshop dedicated to modeling and prototypes. This new addition to the design house provided the answer to the ever-increasing demands of services regarding confidentiality and efficiency "time to market". An overall team of more than 40 people and 5.000 sqm operates effectively, serving various clients spread around Europe, Asia and South America. Shortly, Coffee UP will blossom as the third entity of Umberto Palermo, complimenting the other location as a complete set by directly serving the end user market, a multifaceted core celebrating creativity, craftsmanship taste, and the modern artisan. Testifying the company philosophy of designing around the user and their needs, melting form and function within invention serving an accommodating lifestyle. Auto shows in Shanghai (2011) and Qatar (2012) have seen the unveiling of the "Go" and "Vittoria" concept cars. In June 2014 "Lucrezia Quattrocoupé" was presented at Italy's Premier Auto Musem, Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile di Torino;2015 awaits "Mole", a Super sports car, presented for the first time in running production trim, crafted by UP-Design's creative team and entirely manufactured in its internal workshops.
