We have found the AM mindset can help in a variety of ways even if only a few steps in the AM loop are completed. Our staff are problem solvers, big-picture thinkers, data driven, creative, rigorous and innovative, driven by an aspiration to become trusted advisers to our clients.ESSA began in 1979, building on ideas developed at the University of British Columbia about how to creatively apply science and systems thinking to help people tackle complex environmental and social problems. Those ideas coalesced into the concept of Adaptive Environmental Assessment and Management. ESSA has been evolving and applying these ideas for over 40 years to over 2500 projects in over 40 countries across North and South America, Africa, and Asia.ESSA has a head office in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with a regional office in Ottawa, Ontario.
