Olinga Learning is a nonprofit organization dedicated to social and economic development. It was established in 2010 to facilitate learning about community development in the fullest sense of the term—the spiritual and material progress of a population. Olinga Learning collaborates and learns together with individuals and neighborhood-based groups striving to apply scientific and spiritual principles towards improving aspects of the social and economic life of their communities, however modestly. Olinga Learning works closely with partner organizations that are implementing the Junior Youth Empowerment Program and focuses its work in neighborhoods that are, or have the potential to be, considered centers of intense activity for the raising up and deployment of human resources eager to improve the material and spiritual conditions of their surroundings. In such neighborhoods—against a backdrop of an increasing number of individuals arising to take action and to learn from their experiences—Olinga Learning hopes to gain insights into effective strategies for channeling the rising tide of energy towards the improvement of aspects of community life. Initially, special emphasis will be placed in the areas of education, agriculture, health, and the environment.
