It collaborates with communities, organizations, and government agencies to create and implement programs, policies, and systems in public health; community health and wellness; worksite health and wellness; chronic disease management; substance use disorders; accreditation; disease and injury prevention; telehealth and distance learning; workforce development and quality improvement; health policy; and equity, including food insecurity and immigrant and refugee health. MCDI (mcdinternational.org) leverages over 40 years of experience to improve the health of vulnerable populations through high quality, cost-effective, integrated, sustainable, and locally-driven interventions. It collaborates with donors, national governments, the private sector, health agencies, communities, and local stakeholders in more than 40 countries to strengthen health care systems and save lives in malaria control and prevention; integrated management of maternal, neonatal and child health; sanitation and hygiene; HIV/AIDS and TB; Zika; Cervical cancer; and other communicable diseases. It strengthens health systems through technical assistance in human resources planning, health financing, performance-based financing, health facility and program accreditation, health management information systems, operations research, and clinical trials management.
