Welcome to Symbiosis Centre for Alumni Engagement (SCAE) – the official alumni network of Symbiosis.It is a whole new world of new possibilities. Dr S. B. Mujumdar, the Founder and President of Symbiosis, established this institute in 1971 on the core values of interdependence, co-existence, cooperation, compassion, mutual trust, love and harmony, for the welfare of international students. The motto remains Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam or "The world is one family". Little did he realize that this sapling will grow into a massive tree providing a warm feeling of 'home away from home.' Today Symbiosis has 70 institutes with 40,000 students from 85 countries, 1,200 faculty members and 2,100 non-teaching staff from across India. The Ministry of HRD, Government of India, has conferred the ‘Deemed University' status on Symbiosis, in 2002, under the name of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University or SIU. SIU is one of the largest multidisciplinary universities and is consistently ranked among the top institutions in our country. The magnificent campuses of SIU are spread across Pune, Nasik, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Noida, and Nagpur. SIU has an international corporate training centre at Muscat, Oman. The Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC), a constituent institute of Symbiosis, functions under the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. SCAC has been bestowed with autonomy by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, effective from the academic year 2012-13. It was conferred upon the ‘College with Potential for Excellence' status in 2016 by the UGC. Symbiosis also established its Nursery School in 1983, soon followed by Primary and Secondary schools. Each alumna and alumnus has been a contributor to this success story. Symbiosis is proud of its alumni and their contributions to society.
