We started out in 1955, with a single Key West branch and a handful of employees. As the Keys community grew, so did the Bank, steadily adding more services and branches. We’ve grown and changed in a lot of good ways. But our core values remain the same – we’re a proud, locally owned institution operated for the benefit of the people of Monroe County. Today, over 65 years later, First State Bank continues to thrive and expand our line-up of products, services, and delivery systems. We operate the only bank in Stock Island and Summerland, as well as offices located inside the Key West Winn Dixie Supermarket and next to Publix in the Key Largo Tradewinds Plaza.
