Vision: Denver is the city and county that promotes health and assures access to integrated medical and behavioral care, and social services for all. The Mile High Health Alliance is a member-based nonprofit that is building a coordinated, collaborative, unified voice for the safety net in Denver. We work with our diverse coalition partners to improve access to care and quality of care for the un- and underinsured, as well as for the one-third of Denver residents who are enrolled in Medicaid. The Alliance was established in 2015 through a community stakeholder process, which identified the following priorities:1) First Access to Care (outreach and enrollment, health and insurance literacy, and entry into care)2) Specialty Care Access for Underserved Denver Residents3) High Utilizers of the Health Care System4) Integrated Physical and Behavioral Health CareThe Alliance has already been instrumental in fostering stronger relationships between diverse stakeholders around its four priority initiatives, and is planning for city and county-wide interventions around specialty care access and addressing the needs of high utilizers.
