Based on the theme of Educating the future leaders to lead the world, YLIMUN takes resort to escalate awareness towards global issues by extending a platform for youth to engage in comprehensive discussions regarding the prevailing trend of global issues. The foundation of YLIMUN 2020 is based on Goal 4. 5 and 6 of the Sustainable Development Goals Agenda 2030 which was sanctioned by 193 UN Member States in September 2015 to become the reference of UN and UN Member States from 2016 to 2030. The cumulative goal aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all girls and boys and uphold lifelong learning opportunities for all with gender equality, followed by awareness towards the drastic change in climate scenario for world. The councils included within it are: UNSC (United Nations Security Council), UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Committee), UN Women (United Nations Women), UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change)and UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation).
