Seed Innovations Pvt. Ltd is an agri-tech startup dedicated to making digital agriculture accessible and efficient in developing countries. Farmers in developing countries lack portable crop monitoring tools, which restricts their access to important information about crop health. This precludes them from taking early action on possible threats such as disease, pest, weed, nutrient, and water deficiency. The lack of such tools also contributes to farmers using more water and more fertilizers than required thereby increasing GHG emissions. We, at Seed Innovations, aim to bridge this gap by providing a handy crop monitoring app aka PlantSat that's smarter and more agile by leveraging digital innovations like satellite imagery, big data, and machine learning to provide near-real-time analytics (every 3-5 days) to the global farmers using colored maps that are simple and easy to understand. Plantsat, provides reliable satellite data and analytics to the farmers which helps them in identifying and taking preventive and curative actions against the aforementioned threats. Plantsat helps the farmer optimize the use of nitrogen-based fertilizers which helps reduce the GHG emissions as well as nitrogen leaching in the soil.
