The Sujan Continental JV designs, validates and manufactures anti-vibration systems for India's top automotive brands. Its product portfolio includes the entire range of vibration control products -- engine mounts, suspensions, bushes and dampers, among other products.Key customers include Maruti Suzuki, Renault-Nissan, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ford India, the PSA Group and Tier 1 companies including Tenneco, Munjal Showa and Gabriel India. In 2018, the JV expanded its offerings into the commercial vehicle sector with its nomination by India's Top 2 players by marketshare -- Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland. The JV will supply Bharat Stage 6 products starting from 2020.The Sujan JV was established in 2008 as a 50:50 alliance with Barre Thomas of France. Following the acquisition of Barre Thomas by US-based Cooper Standard Automotive in 2011, the JV became a part of Cooper Standard's global AVS business. The joint venture has two state of the art plants at Pune and Chennai, and an R&D centre.In 2018, following the decision of Cooper-Standard to divest its AVS business globally to Continental AG, the Sujan JV is now a part of Continental's Vibration Control division, ContiTech.
