The Kentucky College of Art + Design, located in downtown Louisville, started in 2009 with the vision to build one of the top art schools in the nation. KyCAD plans to create an entrepreneurial, research-focused college of art and design, according to President Moira Scott Payne. Art colleges today focus on developing graduates with the interdisciplinary creative skills that can be applied to strategies designed to tackle business and community challenges.
