NDT LEVEL 2 PENETRANT INSPECTION & WHEEL BAY TECHNICIAN LEVEL 2 MAGNETEC PARTICLE TECHNICIAN at Kearsley Airways Ltd - N/A, N/A, UK
Kearsley Airways was one of the many post war charter operators set up to undertake all types of passenger and freight charter work, the first initial aircraft was a New Percival P.44 Proctor 5, and received its Certification of Airworthiness on October 31 1947.Three additional Douglas C47B Dakotas were added to the fleet and were kept busy with many Charter flights from Stansted to Africa, the Middle East and the Far East. When the civil part of the Berlin Airlift started on August 4 1948, Kearsley Airways was one of the first British charter companies to take part, with one Dakota taking part.By the autumn of 1949, Kearsley Airways had established a maintenance base at Stansted which undertook all the overhaul and repair work required by the Dakota fleet. The decision to sell the fleet of aircraft was taken in early March 1950, and all charter operations ceased. The Dakotas were then sold, but the aircraft maintenance section at Stansted continued to function and this side of the business has steadily built up to where it is today.Kearsley prides itself on its ability to adapt to the many disciplines involved in providing a total in-house capability from receiving components to their completion. From our well equipped 45,000 square feet engineering facility based at London Stansted Airport, and close to motorway, rail and air transportation systems, we are able to promptly dispatch components and services world-wide.We have always sought to establish a close working relationship with O.E.M's and to that end we have achieved approved repair facility status with many. We work closely with Lockheed and are part of the Lockheed Hologram program for the C-130/L-382 aircraft platform. We hold a lot of experience and capability on this platform and strive to achieve our customers requirements on all items.
