FuturePerfect is a transdisciplinary creative studio and research collective based in Brooklyn, New York. We create unique groundbreaking experiences across digital media, visual arts, live performance, and emerging technologies. We collaborate with clients to conceptualize, design, and realize complex projects. We consult with governments, organizations, artists, and brands to develop cultural strategies, programs, and specialized content. And we create our own projects that invite audiences to be at the center of exciting discoveries and creative risk. Our client work comes about through playful experimentation and serious research. We are driven by a compulsive desire to bring people together who seem to occupy disparate histories, training systems, cultural backgrounds, and disciplinary fields.Over the past 10 years we've induced intense hallucinations in hundreds of audience members, invented new instruments for an underwater music concert, made theatrical interventions in public libraries, deployed databases and algorithms to generate new dramatic texts, and developed a live animation system for a French Shakespeare production using computer vision. Additionally, we have worked with the Norwegian government to develop a long-term strategy for cultural exchange, we helped to create new programs in art and technology at BAM and Fusebox Festival in Austin, and we are presently assisting with the creation of a new cultural district in historic downtown Miami in an advisory capacity.Collectively we've worked with some of the most important cultural institutions and figures in the arts [Björk, MoMA, Sufjan Stevens, BAM, Nico Muhly, Ivo van Hove, Ralph Lemon, Iris van Herpen, Matthew Barney, MASS MoCA, Sasha Waltz, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art] and grappled with many of the pressing social and political issues of our time [AIDS-affected homeless in New York City, political disappearance in Sri Lanka, and the post 9/11 global war of terror].
