SPEIGHT studio architects, inc. is a small boutique architecture firm based in Annapolis, Maryland. Since 1992, we have executed over three hundred projects for residential, commercial, institutional & governmental clients in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and beyond.Over the years, our work has won numerous national design competitions. We have also juried international design competitions for selected trade publications. And, we are proud to have been published nationally for our work with the local Habitat for Humanity Chapter.We always enjoy a new challenge, though as can be seen from the embedded samples,we are particularly versed in the genres most associated with the turn of the previous century. Reared in what is now a Historic District, the principal, D.Wayne Speight, has long appreciated the design of and the craftsman's skill exemplified in the Colonial Revival, Greek Revival, Shingle, Arts & Crafts and Bungalow styles. When appropriate, we also enjoy bringing meaningful metaphorical elements to the custom homes we design.
