Harvest Project is a registered charity that serves Metro-Vancouver's North Shore, 'extending a hand up, not a hand out' to individuals and families in need.In one of the wealthiest communities in Canada, critical financial and family needs are often hidden and services are scarce for those who find themselves in desperate times. For 28 years, Harvest Project has been reaching out to those who are experiencing extreme challenges with family trauma, illness, job loss, and the threat of poverty and homelessness.Harvest Project's impact in the community: We provide a safety-net for our neighbours in-need, by delivering resources for physical and emotional support. We bring together more than hundreds of volunteers, support from corporations, governments, schools, foundations and community groups, our food-recovery network, and many other generous donors.Last year, we provided more than 4,600 one-to-one client coaching sessions. Our North Shore Rent Bank kept more than 300 residents housed. We shared donated groceries valued at $500,000, and provided clothing for hundreds of clients returning to work or school. Helping to restore our neighbours to health and stability benefits our whole community. We help save lives and build an inclusive and healthier North Shore. Our mission: To provide a holistic support network that addresses the needs of our neighbours who find themselves on the margins in our community. Our vision: To enlarge our work as a sustainable and compassionate presence for North Shore residents, by North Shore residents.Find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/harvestprojectFind us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/HarvestProjectInstagram@harvestprojectnorthshore
