The annual St David's Day Parade is a civilian walk/parade (no vehicles) celebrating the patron saint of Wales on March 1st annually, in Cardiff, capital city of Wales. In 2009, over 6,000 joined the parade on a weekend - and in 2010 about 2,000, including bands, dancers, schools as well as leading voluntary organisations.\In 2011, the event will become part of a week long festival, with many opportunities for business to join in and show their affiliation to Wales and Cardiff and to the aspirations of all communities in Wales to create a better tomorrow for our children and the world. Major sponsors include Cardiff City Council, National Assembly for Wales, Civitas Cymru Ltd. and the volunteers who give generously to enable the event to happen. It's a truly enjoyable family occasion - come and join us!
