Project Director, Documenting & Interpreting the Philly Jazz Legacy
Jazz Bridge is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2004 by a group of caring jazz musicians and supporters. Our mission is to assist jazz and blues musicians living in the Greater Philadelphia Metro area who face financial, health, housing and similar crises. We also give paying gigs to local musicians through neighborhood concerts we produce ourselves and in community partnerships. Through these concerts, we build awareness of the rich cultural jazz tradition of our community. JAZZ BRIDGE IS FUNDED…Mainly through individual and corporate donations, foundation and non-profit grants, and special events (some of which receive funding from the City of Philadelphia). Any money raised by our concerts is also used to fund our programs. Jazz Bridge owes its growth over the past 15 years to loyal donors, volunteers, grant-making organizations, and music lovers.
