Chipin envisioned and built the first marketplace for start-up investment in Indonesia. Chipin was started by industry professionals with many years of investment banking and investment experience in private companies in various growth stages. Many start-ups are staying private longer, which can pose a problem for shareholders who needed to exit or reduce risk on their investment and a problem for public investor as these investments are inaccessible.We believe that the best solution to this problem is to create a transparent and safe marketplace where buyer and seller of private equity can meet and transact with minimum cost and hassle. That is why we created Chipin, the secondary market for startup investment. We believe that only continuous trading can provide sustained fair valuation and ensure that incoming buyers also enjoy liquidity of their holdings.
