The African Council for Accreditation and Accountability (AfCAA) is an accreditation body that seeks to promote accountability in Churches in Africa, Christian non-profits and Christian owned Businesses, in order to enhance public trust in well-run institutions. The accreditation process is guided by Seven Standards of Accountability which address key aspects of an organization which seeks to uphold integrity in how it conducts its affairs. The Standards comply with Biblical standards and cover elements of Doctrinal Foundation; Leadership and Governance; Talent Management; Learning and Innovation; Cultural Differences, Acceptance & Interdependence; Financial Management & Disclosure; and Resource. AfCAA was registered as a Pan- African Organization in Kenya in January 2015. AwarenessAfCAA seeks to create awareness amongst Christian organizations on the need to comply with the Biblical standards and provides training and periodic guidance on the application of these standards in specific industries and sectors.2. AdvocacyAfCAA plans to build on advocacy by:Engaging law makers and government on resource mobilization and resource management issues pertaining to Christian non-profits and churches. Promoting Biblical values in the marketplace – providing Christians and church leaders with research and the tools to challenge and expose unbiblical business and economic principles where they live and work, by showing their detrimental impact on society. 3. AccreditationThis is AfCAA's main stay. The entity is guided by seven pillars that ensure the wholesome assessment of an institution. A process that concludes with AfCAA's seal of approval which will be an indication that an organization has met the requirements of compliance, with AfCAA standards. Membership and annual retention of the seal will be an indication that the organization is continuing to meet these requirements.
