The Seed Project is a think-tank aiming at drawing the future of African agriculture through technology. We are 5 students from two French top-flight universities (Sciences Po Paris, HEC Paris) willing to understand and implement technological solutions in the agriculture sector in Africa.Indeed, agriculture is about to face the greatest production challenge of its history. Yet, while many other sectors are experiencing great growth thanks to technology, agriculture is still today the least digitized sector.We, The Seed Project, strongly believe that technology can boost African agriculture. We visited many countries in 2017-2018 (Morocco, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Cameroon, Brazil...) and we have now identified the main problems that African agriculture was facing; we also analysed a lot of AgTech startups that have developed very interesting solutions to those problems.Our next challenge in 2019 is to have a concrete impact on an African agricultural entity using technological solutions, in order to assess how effective technology is in order to solve the issues African farmers have on a daily basis.Support our projet and let's have an impact together!
