With 110 years of excellent history, NTUE is one of prestigious academic institutes in Taiwan. It plays an important role in the development of primary education and teacher training programs, and has been highly regarded as an essential figure of the educational service. We are very proud of the university's performance and programs for training thousands of primary school teachers in Taiwan.More importantly, NTUE has gone further to be involved in conducting enormous research projects funded by the Ministry of Education and National Science Council in Taiwan. By doing so, NTUE has contributed to the improvement of the quality of our educational system.All these have made this university a leading figure in various academic fields, especially in education, arts and music. And, NTUE is deeply committed to increasing a high quality of living, teaching and learning environment and continuous excellence in teacher education and educational research. National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) comprises 3 colleges, namely Education,Humanities and Arts, Science, 16 departments, 18 graduate schools, offering 22 master's programs, 21 in-service master's programs, and 3 Ph.D. programs. The current student enrollment is around 5,800 and the number of full-time faculty is 210. Our continuing education programs are widely acclaimed.Chinese Language Education Center (CLEC), a subsidiary of NTUE, was founded in the winter of 2006 for teaching Chinese as a second language. More than 2000 students from over 40 countries and territories from age 6 to 50 have learned Mandarin Chinese language in CLEC. CLEC helps students from different culture and language backgrounds make rapid progress to reach their goal-- learning to communicate in Chinese effectively.
