The Global Studio (TGS) is the educational branch of the Community Planning & Design Initiative, Africa (CPDI Africa). As an academic platform for teaching a new pedagogy in African-centered architecture, TGS provides architects and designers technical solutions for problem-solving in their global communities while preserving culture and heritage through design. The CPDI Africa Global Studio for African Centered Architecture is designed to be accessible to all architects and students in any part of the world, welcoming students to meet virtually in the comfort of their own home or place of choice. CPDI Africa is a culture-inspired, research-based organization, created to develop new African architectural languages that are culturally and environmentally sustainable.
