Founded in 1991 by artistic director Low Mei Yoke and Tan Chong Poh, Frontier Danceland is a contemporary dance company in Singapore that turned professional in 2011. A non-profit* organisation, the company often challenges itself to create and perform innovative and evocative works that push beyond choreographic and performance boundaries. Frontier Danceland has earned local and international recognition for its dedication to original works and makes continuous efforts to drive new content for contemporary dance. Over the years, Frontier Danceland has moved into the direction of a repertoire company, creating and performing a diverse range of works by local and international choreographers from various backgrounds. Through representing Singapore at international dance festivals in Cambodia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States, Frontier Danceland has brought different perspectives and cultures into both local and international performance spaces.
