Founded in 2011 as a branch of UTCSSA, UTMCSSA is dedicated to serving the academic community at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus. Our goal is to provide assistance, safeguard the rights, and promote social, intellectual and cultural activities for Chinese students and scholars at the University of Toronto Mississauga. UTCSSA is a non-profit student association. The purpose of this group is to promote communication, friendship and academic exchange among its members, to provide help and services for students and scholars, especially those who are new to the University of Toronto. UTCSSA aims to establish friendship, mutual understanding and culture exchange between its members and other members of the University of Toronto community. UTCSSA is also the only Chinese student organization recognized and supported by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto. It is one of the largest and most established Chinese student organization in Toronto, and has strong ties to other CSSA groups within Canada. With over 20,000 registered members and 3,000 newsletter subscribers, UTCSSA continues to grow every year.
