The Innovation and Training Park (ITP) in Prizren is based on the former camp of the German KFOR contingent and open for rent and investment. The Kosovar and German Governments jointly support the development of the ITP. The size of the park is 40 ha and comprises 56 buildings and several open plots for further development. The Innovation and Training Park Prizren offers space to businesses and start-ups, vocational education and training institutions, and research and innovation activities. Beyond an excellent infrastructure and real estate, the German management will offer business services and a secure and stable investment environment. Beyond spatial proximity, a strong networking atmosphere will lie at the heart of the ITP, which builds on collaboration and shared resources. To ensure this interaction, the ITP will bring together companies from Kosovo, Germany and other countries to boost the economy, create jobs, provide new job skills and commercialize innovations.The Innovation and Training Park will concentrate on the following sectors:Information and Communication (ICT) / Technology-based firmsAgro / Food ProcessingCreative and Cultural Industries (including tourism)To support the above-mentioned sectors and to increase synergy effects among them, two cross-cutting topics are pursued:Vocational Education and Training (VET)Research & Development (R&D)ITP Prizren will set up a business incubator and a makerspace to promote entrepreneurial activities and create new interactions with other tenants of the park.Vocational education and training schools are welcome to play a very important role in fulfilling the demand of the labour market and tenants of the park.Research institutions and academia are invited to establish new links between companies and the labour market.
