The Future Mode provides creative solutions within design, as well as research and consultancy in sustainable fashion, through human centred design. I specialise in disruptive design within new fashion perspectives. The core feature of the projects is cross-disciplinary collaboration, which promotes innovative design solutions. One of the key focus points is to investigate what the role of the designer will be in the future by exploring ‘Design for Longevity' methodologies in the design process. ‘Design for Longevity' is a design philosophy that aims to prolong the lifespan of garments and it explores design thinking by focusing on disruptive design principles. This is highlighted through storytelling, to add new values and needs to the relationship with garments. The aim is to create awareness and shift the mentality on how to deal with fashion consumption from a human point of view as well as from a design perspective. This has been explored through my work focusing on user-centred design, modular design, hacktivism, and non-material design solutions. We'd love to hear from you. Say hi: hello@thefuturemode.com
