South Bend City Church began in 2016 when a core group started meeting and dreaming about a newJesus-centered community. Our dream was to build a place for believers and doubters, where we can askdifficult questions and wrestle with the tensions of ancient faith in a modern world; a community thatvalues simplicity and spiritual practices in our life together; and a church that's deeply connected to thecity we love. That dream has become a reality as we've moved into a home in South Bend's historicStudebaker factory. We're located in a diverse neighborhood in the heart of our city, and we've formed acommunity of 400-500 people gathering each week. We're an independent, non-denominational church.We trust the Bible as it points us to Jesus, and we trust the Apostles' Creed as a guiding interpretation ofwhat it teaches.
