Wah Chan opened its first outlet in Malaysia in 1955. The store was in Pekan in the state of Pahang and was founded by the late Mr. Koh Kui Wah. Wah Chan is available at Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor Bahru, Seremban, Melaka, Perak and Kuantan. In 1993, the company became the first jeweller to register with the inaugural franchise unit of the Prime Minister's Department in Malaysia. As a registered franchisor, Wah Chan's approved franchisees are eligible for the preferential low interest loans from Bank Negara Malaysia.
