Director of the Teacher Induction Program at Menachem Education Foundation - New York, NY, US
The Menachem Education Foundation (MEF) was established in 2008 with the goal of facilitating elevated learning opportunities in the Jewish world. Dedicated to raising the bar in Jewish education, MEF brings professionalism to Jewish schools by creating viable and sustainable Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox schools. MEF ensures that children are intellectually engaged and provides the skills, vision and motivation needed for them to seize their own futures and successfully steer their way through life.MEF envisions educational reform as a key factor in advancing the Haredi world's involvement in the Jewish world at large. Children who are intellectually stimulated and given the opportunity to excel will inevitably succeed personally and professionally. By demanding excellence in school leadership and academic achievement, MEF is making this a reality for Haredi children across North America.MEF'S programs are specially designed with sensitive religious and cultural traditions in mind, and have already enjoyed successful implementation in even the most insular communities. Through our innovative leadership & training programs, thoroughly developed curriculum models and digital standardization measures, we have brought a previously unknown measure of progress and professionalism into Haredi classrooms.By effecting actual change in individual classrooms we hope to achieve an overhaul of the entire Yeshiva school system on a grand scale. Since its inception in 2008, MEF has grown to focus on three targeted areas: teachers, school leaders, and educational infrastructure. It impacts more than 40 Jewish schools worldwide and approximately 15,000 Jewish children.
