Aykut Kence Evolution Conference aims to explain evolution, the concepts of the theory of evolution, the relationship between these concepts, and to correct the well-known mistakes about evolution.It started to be organized as a national evolution conference in 2005. After the death of Turkey's one of the most important evolutionary biologist Aykut Kence in 2014, it took the name Aykut Kence Evolution Conference. As of 2020, more than 80 scientists gave speeches at the conference. Past speakers include names such as Douglas Futuyma, Ergi Deniz Özsoy, Octavio Mateus, Andrew Berry, Zeynep Koçer, Tom Gilbert and Evelyne Heyer. Aykut Kence Evolution Conference is non-profit, and it aims to progress without targeting any political ideology and personal beliefs.
